How To Start Making Extra Income Online
How can I start making income online is probably the number one question you read about on forums, blogs and websites that target the fledgling internet marketing wannabees. I can say for a fact that far too many waste time reading and researching and looking for that perfect idea on how to make money online instead of just jumping in and getting their feet wet. People by nature are lazy and love to dream but rarely do they act upon them. How many times have you heard your co-workers or friend say If only I had a million dollars I would ….. Unfortunately most people stop there and never take the next step.
Having a desire to make more money either in our jobs, online or by starting a small business is definitely the first step but if you stop there and dont pursue it you don’t have to worry about what you would do with a million dollars because you’ll probably never get their unless you win the lottery. My daughter that I mentioned in my last post about students making money online is just one of these people. I gave her all the tools she need to get started in the world of making income online. I provided her with a free membership to the keyword academywhere she had access to all the videos, tutorial, tools and how to information she need to begin bringing in a little extra cash on the side instead of going out and getting a job at McDonalds. I had a discussion with her last night about how it was going with her websites and what she has done to accomplish her goals. Unfortuneately her ressponse was less than adequate in my opinion. I then began refering back to the classes she took and the lessons she learned on making money online from the academy. How many keywords have you researched, how many topic have you found that have the potential to make money and of them how many hubs, squidoo lenses or free blogs have you gotten started. Needless to say I was sorely disappointed with her results. While she has stated over and over that she wants to learn how to make extra income online like me, she has yet decided to take the plunge and act upon them.
I decided to take a different approach with her. Instead of having her start out focusing on making blogs and websites for the sole purpose of making money, I’ve asked her to start a blog about a topic she loves and can write about daily without doing any research. Once she has a solid site up and running I will then send her back to the lessons on how to make money online she has already covered. Many of you that are having a difficult time getting started like my daughter might find this approach a bit easier. Forget about writing a site to earn income, don’t worry about keyword research and just focus on getting a solid site up and running. Once you have become comfortable with the daily grind associated with updating you blogs, you can then advance to the money making aspects of blogging or owning a website. Just about any topic you come up with will have the ability to make money in one way or another.
